Cecily and Quinn | Wedding at Nobuo at Teeter House

Quinn-Cecily089
Cecily and Quinn were married in a very intimate ceremony at Nobuo at Teeter House. I love it that their wedding was stripped down to the basics, but without missing any of the elements that make it meaningful and special.

I loved them and their wedding so much that because of it I have started to accept “mini-weddings” which is only three hours of coverage.

For Cecily and Quinn they drove over to the ceremony site together so since there wasn’t a first look, I started with portraits of the bride and groom. We had so much fun and as you can probably tell, I could have photographed Cecily ALL day. I’m sorry but I just had to include all of these.

After the bride and groom portraits together were finished we made our way to meet their families for all of the family portraits and I love this moment when Cecily’s father saw her as a bride for the first time:

Here’s just one of the many family portraits that were taken. Sisters always have a special place in my heart:

Such a special and meaningful ceremony:

Immediately after the ceremony they had an intimate dinner for all of those who attended the ceremony at Nobuo and proved that simplistic decor can be just as beautiful as the more elaborate ones:

Later they had a laid back reception for their closest family and friends in Quinn’s parent’s backyard. So fun!

When I’m having a hard time choosing between too many fun pictures I just stick with the cute kids:

And just one last shot of their beautiful rings:

If you are interested in hiring me for your “mini-wedding”, please email me at cristi@cristiowen.com.
It includes the ceremony, the reception details, portraits of the bride and groom as well as family portraits and another 1.5 hours of whatever you choose (cocktail hour, first dance, cake cutting, some getting ready shots before the wedding, etc). It’s seriously the best!

Megan and Richard *Wedding at The Farm at South Mountain*

IMG_7659
Megan and Rick got married on the hottest weekend of the year thus far. Luckily, it was at The Farm at South Mountain which has plenty of trees to provide a little shade. Besides they were both so ecstatic to be getting married that I don’t think they even noticed the warmer than usual temperature.

It was so great seeing all of these girls again. They were all bridesmaids at Roushan and Tony’s wedding. How fun is that? And how great is the belt detail on these bridesmaids dresses?! Love it! And on a sidenote, even little Arden thinks I’m hilarious :).

I was so honored to photograph Sofia and Chase’s wedding this past Saturday at the

Paradise Valley Country Club. Chase is Caitlin’s brother whose wedding I shot last November. You can see those images here. It really was so great to see the whole family again.

The getting ready part of the day is so fun to document! Here’s the gorgeous bride getting some final touches on. Hair by Shalise with Le Studio and make-up by Debbie Verver.

The perfect way to kick off 2012 engagement sessions

Yesterday I photographed my first engagement session of the year and it was the perfect way to get things started and hopefully set the tone for 2012!

I got to photograph Gina and her fiancée Brandon and the best part is that this is the third time I got to do so.  No, they didn’t have three engagement sessions, but Gina was a bridesmaid at two of the weddings I photographed before.

So here’s a little history for you:

And now Gina as a bride to be with her fiancée yesterday:

The full post is coming soon, but I just wanted to say how much I love seeing familiar faces and the relationships I’m lucky enough to build through my business.

P.S. If you haven’t clicked the Facebook like button above for my business before, you might want to go do that right now. Need a good reason? Because tomorrow I’ll be announcing a fun GIVEAWAY for a FREE SESSION + HIGH RES IMAGES. Stay tuned!

Ashton and Patrick *Wedding at the Camelback Inn*

My last wedding of the year was a very special one.  Not only was it the most beautiful day we’ve had in weeks, but the bride and groom came all the way from Texas and it was my first military wedding.

Caitlin and Adam’s Wedding at the Desert Botanical Gardens

IMG_3551

Caitlin and Adam’s wedding day was elegant, modern, romantic, and a perfect compliment to the desert surroundings. Heather from Outstanding Occasions coordinated their whole day and she was incredible to work with.

I started the day at Caitlin’s mom’s house where she started getting ready:

Megan on her Wedding Day

IMG_2895< Just wanted to post a photo of my gorgeous friend Meg on her wedding day. You may have read about Meg on my blog before here and here. Although I ran out of time to actually post Meg’s food diaries, our grocery store tour, and follow up meetings, I documented it all with photos and may someday backtrack it and blog it all. In the meantime, I just wanted to say how proud I am of her and all of her hard work.

Annie & Josh *Wedding at The Arizona Biltmore*

If you spend any time at all with Annie and Josh it quickly becomes pretty evident that they are just meant to be together. They compliment each other so well and are such a joy to be around.

Jackie & Luis Wedding at KwaTaqNuk in Montana

Jackie and Luis were married this last weekend in Polson, Montana at the KwaTaqNuk resort by the beautiful Flathead Lake.

Here are some images from their day:

Venue: KwaTaqNuk
Florist: St-Char-Ro (side note: LOVED her bouquet. The branch wrapped around the stems… Brilliant!)
DJ: O2 DJ Productions (side note: love these guys and they are actually here in AZ).
Bride’s dress: WTOO from I do I do Bridal
Paper Designs: Idieh Design (side note: she’s great and she’s here in AZ too).

Jackie and Luis, I hope you are having a blast in Colombia and happy birthday(s) to you both.

Lindsey and Ryan *Wedding at L’Auberge de Sedona*

Photographing Lindsey and Ryan’s wedding was such a great experience. It all felt so calm and organized from beginning to end. And I love it how she made her entire wedding day very personalized to the things that really mattered to her.

As always, I started the day with the girls getting ready. Lindsey opted to have her closest friends there with her but didn’t have them as official bridesmaids. No matching dresses or bouquets, no walking down the aisle or standing during the ceremony. Just her favorite girls spending time together in preparation for Lindsey’s wedding day. As Lindsey said it herself: “This is like prom on crack”.

Their unofficial wedding party:

There were a few raindrops right before the ceremony for good luck and for Lindsey to be able to show off her fabulous Burberry umbrella and galoshes.

Once again proof that a first look prior to the ceremony does not take away from the moment the bride walks down the aisle:

L’Auberge de Sedona is such a beautiful venue. No decorations needed.

How adorable is Lindsey?!

These Kate Spade toasting champagne flutes are my favorite ones to date. Love the modern simplistic look.
